Step 1

Export from Gemini

  1. Go to Google Takeout (takeout.google.com).
  2. Deselect everything, then select just "Gemini Apps" (not the standalone "Gemini" product — that exports Gems, not chats).
  3. Set the format for "My Activity" to JSON, then create the export.
  4. Google emails you a link when your archive is ready to download.

You'll get a Google Takeout .zip containing MyActivity.json.

One honest note: Google exports Gemini as activity history, so pick JSON (not the default HTML) when you export, and know that Google groups each prompt and its response separately rather than as long threads. Older exports sometimes include prompts only — if so, your prompts still come across cleanly.
